Recorded in the West Coast of Norway, “City Of Gold”, the new track by Thea & The Wild explores the bittersweet feeling of losing happiness.
Inspired by 80’s sounds with a touch of modern pop, they offer a bold take on pop music, dealing with sad storylines with a light-hearted tone. About the track, frontwoman Thea Glenton Raknes explains:
[su_quote]
“City of Gold” is a tale of lost happiness, really, you could’ve had, and you don’t really want to leave or let go, cause you’ve had that glimpse of hope and what could have been. Then again, maybe that doesn’t exist, and is just a myth. That’s where the picture from the myth of City Of Gold came into the lyrics.”
