Soft Powder‘s “I Wonder If You Dream” is taken from his self-released debut EP Shangri-La.
A drum machine, a guitar and a synthesizer… How to craft emotionally charged soundscapes with minimal equipment? This is the equation a lot of DIY artists are facing in their bedroom, an equation that Melbourne’s Andy Szetho, better known as Soft Powder, seems to have solved. Taken from his debut EP, “I Wonder If You Dream” is a dream pop escapade which feels both intimate yet, distant. Of course, it doesn’t renew the genre but in a period where lo-fi appears more and more like a trend, this sincere song distills melancholy, nostalgy and wonder without hiding behind any fake filters. Only pure feelings here.
