“Dead Like Me” is taken from Noita‘s new visual EP, BOO, out now.
Two years ago, we introduced you to Noita, a young R&B artist who grew up in Playa del Carmen in Mexico and who had just released her debut EP Pink Noise at that time. After a two-year music program, the artist has finally relocated to Toronto where she has been readying the release of her sophomore EP. Just on time for Halloween, this icy and eerie new project, aptly-named BOO, features tales of love, relationships and overall sadness. Boasting on minimalistic arrangements and ambient layers, “Dead Like Me” is assuredly one of the highlights of the 5-track EP.
Parallel to her music career, Noita was also working as a bartender at a former strip club. That’s maybe where she found the inspiration for the accompanying video, that she co-directed with MisterMister, and in which she plays a sinister cam girl. Tricks or treats? Watch below and make your choice.
