Happy Axe unveils haunting ambient-pop debut single “Seven Sounds”

Australian multi-instrumentalist Happy Axe debuts ambient-pop single “Seven Sounds”.

Hailing from Canberra, Emma Kelly aka Happy Axe is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist and composer. Today, she shares her ethereal debut track “Seven Sounds” on artist-run music label Spirit Level (it was founded by triple j radio presenter Tim Shiel and Belgian-born Grammy-award winning artist Gotye). On her experimental “Seven Sounds”, Happy Axe hauntingy floats between ambient-pop, electronica, and neo-choral. The track reminds us a bit of Kelly Lee Owens and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith. In any case, this mystical and esoteric debut track has definitely provoked our curiosity.

You can also play the track via Spotify and Bandcamp.

Happy Axe‘s debut album “Dream Punching” will be released later this year on Spirit Level. Meanwhile, follow the artist over Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
