In #Gimme5 today, turn your attention to artists like Jessica Domingo, Khamsin, NOVAA, Askery & Ellis, and Janelle Kroll. They all recently released some popping tracks, so stay updated on their music is you like what you hear!
Jessica Domingo – “Sleep”
We’ve all heard a solid handful of catchy indie pop tracks and it’s getting a bit stale in that department, but Jessica Domingo‘s “Sleep” still shimmers in a way that might get people to stop and listen. It’s catchy and production is peppy, so can’t say I’m complaining about the genre it’s in. The vocals weren’t super special to listen to, but the chorus and production makes up for it.
Khamsin – “Once” (feat. Layna)
Whee I’m a fan of the drop on this track. It’s spectacular, like prisms of light making the dance floor glow up or something sparkly like that. The vocals were a bit whatever in my honest opinion, nothing too different from the crowd but the production is gorgeous. You’ve got the motley array of future-ey, electronic-ey, pop-ish elements that make it a favorable contender in someone’s turnup playlist, the strums of a guitar here and there really add the final touch to this track.
NOVAA – “Hands”
Whoaa NOVAA‘s look is so striking– she looks like a blue-haired goth girl and her music falls into that brooding, dark pop territory. This track, “Hands” is pretty neat. The lyrics attempt to be poetic and are sort of haunting. Check it out below.
Askery & Ellis feat. Bishøp – With You
Here’s a solid electronic track to lift up your weekend spirits. Big sounding and with a cool feature from Bishøp, the track is perfect for a night drive or even just listening to in your room on a Saturday evening.
Janelle Kroll – Loose ft. morgxn
People may know Janelle Kroll from popular Autograf track “Metaphysical” but did you know she also is an extremely talented solo artist as well? And she just released a new EP about two weeks ago. Here’s a track we got in our submissions from her EP that really shines, check it out below. We love you Janelle.
